- Which skybox is cheapest in Trinidad?
- It depends on the parcel, which is why this page asks for one. Couriers with the lowest rate per pound often charge a fuel surcharge or bill on dimensional weight, so a light bulky box can cost more there than at a courier with a higher headline rate.
- What is dimensional weight?
- Some couriers charge for the space a box takes up rather than what it weighs, when the space is worth more. A pillow weighs almost nothing and fills a box, so it bills as if it were heavy. Couriers that do this rarely publish the divisor they use, so this page flags them instead of guessing.
- Do the taxes change depending on which courier I use?
- No. Customs charges the duty, the 7% online purchase tax and VAT on the value of your goods plus the freight, whichever courier carried it. A courier with cheaper freight does slightly reduce the tax, because the freight is part of the customs value, but the rates themselves never change.
